We are proud to announce that registration is officially open for the 300 of Sparta – Epic March 2026, taking place 11–21 September 2026.
This 10-day endurance journey will follow the historic route from Thermopylae to Sparta, honoring the path of King Leonidas and his 300 warriors. Participants from around the world will unite to walk through mountains, plains, and ancient battlefields — a modern tribute to timeless courage and resilience.
This is not a race — it’s a test of spirit, endurance, and discipline.

The 300 of Sparta - Epic March
An epic 9-day endurance march on the route where King Leonidas led 300 Spartans, to stem the onslaught of the Persian army in 480 B.C. changing the path of world history. From the legendary city of Sparta to the hallowed grounds of Thermopylae, our Epic March promises breathtaking landscapes, unforgettable encounters and tales of valor that will leave you inspired.

TOTAL DISTANCE / MAP ROUTE
400km/248 miles, on tarmac or gravel road.
THE PACE
Participants run according to their physical fitness and performance. There will be no pacers.
DURATION
9 continuous daily ETAPE's under various weather conditions.
OVERNIGHT STAY
Overnight stay in hotels at villages on the path of the route.
ALTITUDES
Total accumulated ascents 4,233 meters/2,630 miles & descents 4,410 meters/2,740 miles. Maximum crossing top altitude 1,240 meters/0.77 miles at 101km/63 miles from the beginning (3rd march day).
LOGISTICS
Breakfast and dinner at the accommodation places. Throughout the march refreshments and snacks are available, as well as adequate support for the safe progress of the march (medical, sanitary, etc.)

The 300 of Sparta - Epic March is open for male and female athletes, over 18 years of age, in excellent health and physical condition.
UPCOMING MARCH: September 11-21, 2026
Participation Cost: 3,000 euros / 3,600 dollars.
Minimum participation 8 pax / Maximum participation 30 pax.
